Hey there, friends! Halloween is just around the corner, and you know what that means—time to whip up some delicious, festive treats!
Today, I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite recipes: an Easy Halloween Snack Mix that’s perfect for any spooky celebration. Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party or just looking for a fun fall snack, this sweet Halloween Chex mix is guaranteed to be a hit.
Our party mix is a delightful combination of crunchy cereals, salty pretzels, and sweet chocolate candies, all brought together with a rich, buttery brown sugar sauce. The best part? It’s super easy to make, and you can customize it to your heart’s content.
How to Make Halloween Snack Mix
First, preheat your oven to 275° F. and line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. That’s right, 2 large sheet pans, this recipe makes a lot of party mix.
Make sure you have plenty of people to share it with this Halloween. Next, in a small microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and brown sugar.
After the butter melts completely, add the vanilla. Use a whisk to combine the ingredients until they become creamy and smooth.
Please be careful during this step as you’re working with a pretty warm, stick sauce. Don’t get burned!
Now, in a large mixing bowl, mix both cereals and the pretzels. Then, slowly drizzle in the brown sugar mixture and stir everything together to coat.
After the mixture has been evenly coated with the sauce, spread the cereal evenly onto the baking sheets.
Place the sheet pans in the preheated oven to bake for 45 minutes, stirring the party mix every 15 minutes. So, by the time cereal is cooked, you should have stirred it 3-times.
Afterwards, remove the pans from your oven and allow the cereal to cool completely. This should only take about 15-minutes; however, you want the cereal mixture cool before you add the candies.
Once everything has cooled, add the M&Ms, Autumn Mix candy, and Reese’s Pieces to the snack mix. Go ahead and give all the ingredients a good stir to combine them.
Last, transfer the party mix to a serving bowl or separate it out into a few smaller serving dishes. In the words, serve it however you desire.
Customize Your Mix
What I love about this Halloween mix is its versatility. You can easily switch up the candies based on your preferences or what you have on hand.
Perfect for Parties
Our Chex Halloween party mix is ideal for any Halloween gathering. It’s sweet, crunchy, and utterly addictive.
Serve it in a big bowl at your party, or portion it into individual bags for a fun party favor. It’s also a great treat to enjoy while watching your favorite Halloween movies or decorating pumpkins with the family.
And the best part? This fall snack mix can be made ahead of time, so you can focus on enjoying your festivities rather than spending all your time in the kitchen.

To keep your snack mix fresh and crunchy, store it in an airtight container at room temperature. It will stay good for up to a week—if it lasts that long!
