👻 Halloween Fudge
Is it officially spooky season..? The warm weather and back to school shenanigans may disagree, but I believe it’s time to start carving pumpkins and buying costumes!
Above all else, it’s time to start whipping up all of our favorite Halloween goodies, and Halloween Fudge is a really fun one. This is a dessert that your kids will love helping you decorate!
Scrumptious, sugary white fudge is drizzled with melted almond bark and dotted with two adorable candy eyes to mimic a mummy. This fudge is a spooky good kind to make!
🎃 How to Make Halloween Fudge
- Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Using a double boiler, melt the white chocolate chips, 8 ounces of almond bark, and sweetened condensed milk over low-medium heat until almost smooth. Just before the chocolate finishes melting, remove from heat and continue stirring until smooth. If you don’t have a double boiler, heat an inch or two of water in a pan. Place a heat-safe bowl snuggly over the pan, and use it as a double boiler!
- Add the vanilla and salt and mix well. Then, transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, and smooth into an even layer. Let the fudge set for 2 hours in the refrigerator or up to 4 hours at room temperature.
- After the fudge sets, heat the remaining almond bark in the microwave in 20 second increments taking care not to let it burn. Next, cut the fudge into 16 equal pieces.
- Transfer the almond bark to a plastic bag and cut off the tip (the size of the cut tip will determine the thickness of the mummy “rags”). Feel free to use a piping bag fitted with your favorite circular tip if you prefer.
- Make two dots on each piece of fudge and attach the eyeballs. Then, drizzle back and forth over the fudge pieces to make them look like mummies.
- Let the fudge cool completely and enjoy.
❗️ Tips and Variations:
- Don’t try to microwave the white chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and almond bark together. The best way to create a smooth, fully combined mixture is to mix everything together using a double boiler.
- To help the fudge set more quickly, place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
- Don’t be discouraged if your rags look a little messy! A messy drizzle happens to even the most skilled home bakers. Besides, these are mummies – there’s room for a little messiness here.
Storage
Storage: In an airtight container at room temperature, Halloween Fudge will stay fresh for up to 1 week.
