Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper then set aside.
Melt butter and peanut butter together in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
1 cup creamy peanut butter, 1 cup unsalted butter
Stir in the vanilla then add the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until well mixed.
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 4 cups powdered sugar
Transfer the fudge to the prepared pan, and use the back of a spoon or spatula to spread into an even layer. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or until set.
Cut into squares and serve.
